Faith Kimberling
Faith Kimberling holds a B.A. in English literature from Bucknell University and graduate credits in Dance Education from SUNY Empire State. She has 9snd St Y/Dance Education Lab (DEL) and Barre fitness teaching certificates and recently completed Corvino Children’s ballet pedagogy workshops.
She currently dances for Loretta Thomas and with Putnam County Dance Project. From 2004 as an apprentice and then a year and a half later as a full company member Faith danced with Lori Belilove and the Isadora Duncan Dance company until June 2021, dancing solo and ensemble roles both internationally, around the country, and in NYC. In addition Faith taught for the Isadora Duncan Dance Company including company class and lecture demonstration performances about Isadora in public schools. She also choreographed for, coached and taught the Beliloveables, the children’s performing company of the Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation. Before and concurrently.
Faith danced 17 years with White Wave:Young Soon Kim Dance Company, enjoying performances locally and in China, Korea, and Inner Mongolia. Other companies include CEule Dance and Linda Diamond. Faith has also performed extensively in regional theater, her favorite roles being Cassie in A Chorus Line and Maggie in Brigadoon. She currently teaches creative dance to underserved NYC public schools as a Dance Teaching Artist with Mark DeGarmo Dance and teaches creative dance, Duncan technique, hiphop, preballet and ballet to ages 3-adult at the YMCA in addition to here at Bridge for Dance.
She has taught all ages for many years in various settings such as the Y, public and private preschool, elementary and middle schools, and at private dance studios. Faith has been a teacher at Bridge for Dance for more than ten years, teaching from ages 2-11 years.
