Leslie Mahan began her dance journey at age 3 in a small studio outside of Orlando, Florida.
Upon moving to Michigan at age 7 Leslie decided to expand her dance knowledge and began competition dancing as she grew up. She was heavily trained in the Cecchetti method of ballet with a focus on tap, jazz, and contemporary as well. Throughout her teen years, Leslie won numerous dance awards and became a certified grade VI professional Cecchetti dancer. In High school, Leslie joined a pre- professional contemporary company called X2. It was run by artistic director Jodie Randolph, and provided many choreographic, teaching, and performance opportunities in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Upon graduating from South Lyon High School, Leslie moved to New York City and trained at the Joffrey Ballet School for two years under the direction of Era Jouravlev. In September 2018, Leslie accepted an apprentice position at the New York Dance Project.
She loves to train, teach, and perform in any capacity and looks forward to an exciting year with The Bridge For Dance!
